Lexie Smith is a graduate of Lee University with a degree in Psychology. She has been combating human trafficking since she learned about the hidden crime that affected her life personally. She was trafficked doors down from her grandparents in an upper middle class neighborhood from the ages of 10-12 by an older boy who showed interest. Her family was threatened, leaving her with no choice but to obey the demands of her trafficker. Her intervention came divinely while attending college through counseling and intimate encounters with Christ that made her whole.
After identifying as a survivor of sexual exploitation as a child, her passion to prevent other children and teens from falling into the same traps, and stripping harmful stereotypes that keep victims bound has become her focus. She has since graduated from RBM's Virtual Mentoring Program and loves coming along side survivors as they discover their true identity and purpose. Lexie has shared her story with over 45,000 youth across America as well as countless churches, conferences, and universities. She is most passionate about leading others to discovering their worth and encountering Christ's love.
